We’re still alive!

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Everyone is up and kicking again, although a few people are still suffering the ills of different illnesses. This widespread recovery, of course, means that we’re back to filming The Glow Bug Movie, and it’s getting much closer to completion!

Illness

Monday, December 28th, 2009

While I can’t be certain that the facts that I have are true, I will do my best to relay some information to you. Sometime between Christmas morning around 3 am and yesterday illness ravaged the Karth household. Six of Nine Karths became ill. Thankfully this form of stomach flu isn’t a killer and all have managed to survive. Amazingly Mom also managed to survive as caretaker. Those that didn’t get ill include Rebekah who resently had her wisdom teeth removed in a painful surgery (on December 23rd) and Susanna who has been battling a cold. Apparently people are on the path to recovery because the current plan is that Vanessa and Marcus will be visiting for their usual play day tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully someone will be available to add posts to this site (other than just me) in the near future!

It’s Been Awhile

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

It has been awhile since we posted. Christmas alone would be a good excuse, but when you add illnesses and long weeks to the list it becomes more than understandable. Somehow I missed the Christmas countdown and thought (up till last Sunday) that I had one more week before Christmas. This caused our family some issues because we weren’t ready. I had to finish making a gift, we had to buy a gift, and nothing was wrapped.

We had thought we were going to make a goose and found out that the only goose in the area was a $45.00 bird (for a amazing 10 pounds). So, instead I made Southern macarroni and cheese for everyone and the world’s most incredible fudge. It was a good thing cause illness racked the week.

First Marcus was sick, then Peter. I ended up with a cold. Come Christmas morning we found out that Caleb was sick and sadly before the day was over the flu had taken another victim in Mary. I still feel ill from the cold, but we are not sure that the rest of the family is alive. We will call later to find out.

Even with all of this, I am very thankful for our Christmas. The food was great, the presents were wonderful, and having a family to spend the season with even better. Hope yours was also a great Christmas (and minus illness).

Now back to filming that movie!

The Glow Bug Movie is being filmed!!!!!!!!

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

OK,  so this is actually the fourth time the Glow Bug Movie has been in production. The first script just didn’t work and Why You Shouldn’t Trust Your College Buddies was filmed instead. Script two was canceled after getting two-thirds through. Script three might actually make a comeback someday, but for now I’m determined to (with my siblings) get this movie (hopefully) finished by Christmas, or at least before 2010. Speaking of Christmas, it’s only EIGHT DAYS AWAY!!! And, it’s Thursday, so joyous “One Week Closer to Christmas Day,” day!!!
