National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

I mentioned earlier that this has been a busy month for most of the family, for various reasons. It is true that it is almost over, but for Peter (and to a slightly lesser degree me) it is really starting to feel a bit of pressure. Peter is working on writing his third novel for National Novel Writing Month. Those that don’t know, this program is designed to get you writing like crazy. The goal is to complete 50,000 words by 11:59 on November 30th. Actually, the goals is to finish it and have it uploaded to the NaNoWriMo website by this time. This means that you spend the month writing like mad. For us it has meant late nights writing, me spending a lot of time trying to keep the kids quiet while their dad writes, and us spending time outside. We have a 600 square foot apartment, which makes everything just a bit harder.

One special thing this year is that Peter is going to do something with his novel. In the past the novels were printed off for editing, but the editing was never completed and the novels were never read by another human being. This year is different. Peter is sharing his writing with the world. This will start (today actually) with direct access to the raw novel. This is the material that hasn’t been edited or changed in any way. There are spelling errors, grammar issues, and in some cases it may even be just a bit confusing. Then the novel will be edited and altered for those who are interested in it.

Mortals in the Dragon’s Eye

Peter’s book, Mortals in the Dragon’s Eye, is more than have done and will be posted one segment at a time on his website. I will be aiming at posting a new segment each day. Please read and enjoy!

Sheep Week.

Finally I must say something about sheep week. Um…that’s about all I have to add on that topic. At least for now. We will see later on in the week.
